Teenage Heartbreak

Teenage Heartbreak

A Poem by Collette Clark

Your jacket's hanging in my closet

It doesn't smell like you anymore

Memories burn strong in my mind

Of long nights spent on your front porch

Your lyrics play through my headphones

They don't sound like you anymore

Each song stronger than the last

It only leaves me wanting more

Your charm still dangles from my bracelet

It doesn't feel like you anymore

Thoughts of you still linger

Shaking me to my emotional core

Your picture's sitting on my nightstand

It doesn't look like you anymore

Blue eyes alive with laughter

Blonde hair as golden as the ocean shore

I wrote this poem about you

My heart and soul outpoured

Providing closure greatly needed

Loneliness doesn't haunt me anymore

"brung" ...ummmm :D
Thats good, I like the repeating chorus of "it doesn't _______ like you any more"
but... just to bring the Gramar Nazi hammer down on you... the 3rd time you just wrote "lik" not like...
