[Creative Title Here]A Poem by Collette Clark
Hello dear
And welcome to my nightmare The one that's become reality Watch him as he leaves me My world shall crumble Standing here alone I wonder why As the stars fall down And the moonlight shines I no longer appreciate night's beauty Because I lie awake Thinking of you Moving can't be that hard Truth is, you taught me how to love And watching you go is putting a stake through my heart For now and ever I'll act like I'm fine Like my heart doesn't skip a beat Every time I touch you But I'm sure you've noticed You'd be blind if you didn't Standing alone I begin to wonder why As the stars fall down And the moonlight shines I no longer appreciate night's beauty I'd much rather be Getting lost in your eyes Moving on has never been so hard Truth is, you taught me how to love Losing you is putting a stake through my heart There'll be others, I know But none of them are you And they could never be the same You can't be replaced Even though you've replaced me with her Now my world falls down And I'm not alright I can't even see night's beauty Lying here How I miss you, dear But you've moved on You're already gone Truth is, you taught me how to love Seeing you with her has only put a bullet through my skull © 2013 Collette Clark |
