Words To You

Words To You

A Poem by Collette Clark

It's time for you to say
Anything you've wanted to
I expect you to speak your mind today

The makeshift bed in which he lays
Insults me as well as you
It's time to hear what you have to say

I regret the days I didn't stay
And do what I wanted to
I expect you to speak your mind today

Life flutters like the wings of a bluejay
I can't seem to forget you
I'm terrified of what you have to say

You occupy my mind every day
Memories are old, I want something new
Please don't speak your mind today

If I laid down my life today
Would you let me stay with you?
I'm afraid of what you're gonna say
Speak your mind to me anyway

Thats pretty good... I like the flip flopping back and forth, between wanting to know and not wanting to know...
