I STILL REMEMBERA Poem by colleenp119I still remember your smile, That you never showed enough. And your guarded disposition , was always a little tough. But I also remember you laughing, as we sat on the living room floor. Looking at the old pictures and the outfits that we wore. We remembered all that went before us, and fondly remembered our past. Thinking we would all still be here, That the rest of us would last. But somehow the distant future, Unexpectedly got in the way, And even though most days are sunny, Sometimes the skies turn gray. So I hope that you are smiling and still laughing from above. And your days are filled with happiness, And all our prayers and Love. So I'll keep these old pics laying around, If only for awhile, So please stop by and stay abit, So I can feel your smile. © 2017 colleenp119 |
