FATHER'S DAYA Poem by colleenp119
It"s Fathers Day again, Dad
How the time has quickly flown. Especially when you"re dreading Another Father"s Day alone. The tie, the shirt, the silly gift I wish that I could buy, with golden ribbons glistening like the tears within my eyes. The gift I give you this year, it"s not shiny or brand new. but it"s something that you gave me daily, all year through. My gift to you is wrapped in thoughts and prayers and love. It"s my heart that filled with treasures, and it"s sent to you above. I send this on your special day, with all the love I could. and if I could be there with you. You bet your wings I would. © 2017 colleenp119 |
