Stage Fright

 

Frozen in place
 Feeling so sick
 Sweating
 Shaking
 Trembling
 I can't speak
 I can't breathe
 Stage fright
 It has taken over me
 I close my eyes
 I can do this
 Deep breaths
 On the count of three
 I will open my mouth
 And then everything will be ok
 I'll be singing
 And I will feel so free
 Everyone will look at me
 I'll be a star
 I just have to close my eyes
 Breathe
And then believe
 That everything is going to be ok

I feel for you here. I am and will probably always be deathly afraid of public speaking. Iv always been such a shy girl tho so thats most of the reason why! i agree with chris tho:) we have to get up and deal wit it no matter what... great poem:)

thanks and i'm not shy I never really had stage fright until just a few years ago when I had to sing in this production we put on for the school in drama club haha I couldnt actually sing my part until the night before the show uhg

Oh gosh I can relate to this so much. I used to be so afraid of public speaking. All of these would happen to me. Very accurate descriptions, at least in my case anyway!

lol I only have the problem when singing and in class when we had to do speeches my class is so judgemental I hate to talk in front of them but I'm happy u can relate and u like it lol

Haha, taking a speech class was a mandatory general edu course at my college and my T.A would make us give speeches everyday, gosh it was so bad lol. This was right on the dot of how I felt haha. Great job.
