The Creature

The Creature

A Story by Huor Tasadur
"

An Ironic twist on a tale of two lovers.

"

There was a tale of a deep creature

Deep in the sea

With long limbs

That drag all who dare

To step on its beaches

But not me

I walk those beaches every night

To help clear my mind

Everyone thinks I'm crazy

But my mind has been plagued

With evil, dark thoughts

I used to walk with my love

We talked about our future

A beautiful house

Children

But one day I turned for a second

To grab a pebble

Maybe to skip it along the water

And there she was

Walking into the water

Never to be seen again

It was the talk of the town

"Sea creature strikes again"

Only I knew that she willingly left

To prove to everyone

There was no monster

I convinced them to come to the beach

And watch me walk along the coast

I decided to walk into the water

And just like my love

I didn't stop walking

To this day they still believe

The sea creature lurks

But the only creature

Was the one inside of me and her
