Sad admission

Sad admission

A Poem by Nicole

driven to the point of insanity

I bow my head in defeat

for you'll always have the power over me

in this game of love you possess the upper hand

and for that I envy you tremendously

and now I have accepted the fact

that although you cause me pain

my love for you outweighs each tear I've shed

you have a tight grasp on my heart

squeezing it to the point of rupture

and I love every minute of it

To me, upon reading this, i believe the character
in the poem gave in because she was afraid of losing him.
no matter how much pain it causes her, she fell to his every desire.
because in return, though she was in pain, she still had him
and his happiness brought her joy. I dunno, just my interpretation .
keep up the writing!

perfect interpretation
The weight of love is a heavy cost fir the narrator, very powerful yet sad writing. I always believed love, that is true love, to be light as the breeze :)

The character in the poem is trying to say that is submissive to the person she loves because she trusts it will lead her well.
