SilenceA Poem by Cody Jeremy ThompsonMan do I dislike having sleep problems
I hear you coming.
Each shushing step, Deafens me further. You stop at the door. From your soundless knocking, The birds flew away. I see the snarl of your white tuneless teeth, That scared the barking dogs. Your claws covered in mute fur, Cut through the whistling wind and dig into my throat. Now you are the only one making sound. To you, silence, now I am bound. © 2016 Cody Jeremy ThompsonAuthor's Note
