CritiqueA Poem by Cody Jeremy Thompson
Every artist no matter how big or small,
No matter which art, this goes for them all. What they should respect and cherish the most, Is opinions of their work that others host Critique is the name of that veiled maiden. Who politely stays next to front gates with her strong posture. Until we invite in our minds garden, That lady of high stature. She might be cynical, pretentious, She makes us anxious. The reason we stand her, Is because of our work she's insightful She's the one pointing out faults in our creations, She notices every defect on children of our imagination. And to help treat them we must embrace her, So remedy for sickness she can stir. © 2016 Cody Jeremy ThompsonAuthor's Note
