Walk with the Skin of the Moon

Walk with the Skin of the Moon

A Poem by Colin Mitchell Williams

Lay me down in the dark grass
Come whisper your heart
Astride my chest
With your mantle cast
In the chalk of the stars

Let the midnight glisten of your lips
Press their dreams
To the cool dark air
And let slip your secrets
On the bare shoulders of love

Place your hand upon my cheeks
And my hand upon your breast
And together glide the long silent tracts
Walk with the skin of the moon
On our nakedness

Let the heat of your breath linger
A panting prayer
Before the soft tongue intones
And let me scry inside those amber lit eyes
All the visions and beings of truth

Come my love, lay me down in the dark grass
And cast your written spells
With me arched
Hold me for all the woman you are
In mysteries revealed

Bring me the scent of your fervour
Lay me waste in the soft wet touch
Speak to me with Kabbalahs finger tips
And let me hear the night of eternal whisper
There in the cradle of earth

Lay me down in the dark grass
Come whisper your heart
Astride my chest
With your mantle cast
In the chalk of the stars

What a beautiful, sensual and mystical piece, Colin. With the addition of Kabbalah, all that we do not see becomes open to us.
