DeathA Poem by ATARI AUNG COIA poemIn her eyes, I found a reason to fear the unknown, A flicker of light in life's darkest shadows shown. With her beside me, a fervent desire to thrive, To cherish, to embrace, to be wholly alive. She filled my world with radiance and gentle grace, Her presence, my sanctuary, a comforting embrace. Now adrift, lost in a world devoid of her smile, A wanderer in shadows, yearning for her awhile. I wander homeless in a realm once our shared domain, Breath held, suffocating in the echo of her refrain. Each breath a reminder of what once brightly shone, And what now fades, forever gone. Awaiting the embrace of death to end this yearning pain, To find solace from this ache, this endless refrain. Yet amid memories' sea, I cling to a fragile thread, Dreaming of the day we'll reunite, where shadows fade and love's light is spread. © 2024 ATARI AUNG COIAuthor's Note
