Dying

Take a message from my Love

I'm sending this message from a machine with a dying battery.

I'm not sure how much longer it will last.

I do know that it will die very soon.

 

It's been interesting to see how I reacted when I realized I left my charger at home.

At first I looked around my worksite frantically

the flashing light telling me I only had a half hour!

 

Then I thought..."it's no big deal"

and sat down.

Afterall, I do still have my smartphone. I can do almost anything on my smartphone that I would do from my laptop.

I realized the downloads I had in progress would have to wait; this bothered me.

 

I went out to the car...maybe I left the charger here last night! didn't take it inside the house!

no. it's not here.

I'll go back to sitting down.

 

"I should write about this" I think.

 

I realize the only thing I can't do from my phone is upload this to writerscafe

I mean, I probably could.. but what I mean is there isn't an app for that.

Maybe it'll come to that someday, but not yet.

 

So I'm writing this message from a dying machine.

I can'y say I cared for this text, but I do like the fact that it's original. It's not at all a serious text, anyway, so hopefully you won't care about my review either, haha.

I vacillate between "There are more important things than what we like and don't like" and "There is nothing more important than what we like and dislike"

Isn't our perspective on most things constantly skewed by what we like and dislike, whether or not we think that should be the case and whether or not we actually notice the influence? Ultimately, we end up being driven by our subjectivity a lot of the time. You have a tough call there!
