I NEED A BREAK FROM LIFEA Poem by Devra KeokongchackExaggerations
Relentless mama's
Actresses in Broadway plays and action packed TV drama's .. conceding breaks just thousands of different takes. Taking kids to potties. "take your butt to time out" when someone is naughty.. Taking control of situations taking away monster trepidations. Reading minds unbearably kind missing socks you'll never find. Missing times missing dishes? Never missing birthday wishes. Never finding time for themselves "oh the glory" only time for "finding dory".. House bound wives tales filling them like books shelves. With all of there exclamation points and commas longing for sweet dream comas. Questions constantly marking from puppies with their wrathful barking.. sneaky kids sneaking snacks rolling heads from teens dreading that mouthe when it smacks ... Some times the "B***h" barks back. .. Reading temperatures with anxiety medicinal remedies in variety. Taking notes while floating boats preparation for stress tests. Children consume your world like water as you drown. Children who gratify your thirst, the irony to your confound. Agony as the adroggeny compound. Wifely duties arguments about who got coodies.. Oh what fun it is when all of the kids decide to harmoniously cry.. music to a mother's ears Only connection with rest is a sigh... Toys scattered around all over the ground . Investigators when you can't hear a sound .. Seen it all before but there's more? As your astound... Truths are told as Al'lies unfold home is thier battle ground. Where snitches dont get stitches only secret Hershey kisses. Where wealth is being together and smiles are their riches. Mother's are all just witches. Versatile abridges ... With practicality singing to the tune of a fife. Dancing along to the song "i need a break from life " ... © 2017 Devra Keokongchack |
