Just another bird

Just another bird

A Poem by Jéssica Fernandes

you spoke poetry
like venom
under whisky's sigh.
so i fell for you
like a tipsy bird
would fall for death
at his very last try
to fly.

Your words become as a living thing, struggling to rise but stumbling, flooded with this painful poison. How it aches.

I have to say the title fits this nicely... a charmer of a personality so they believe... and you get caught in it... and realize the truth and abandon all hope...
