You

You

A Poem by Cody Michael

essence in dreams,
a fog in my mind,
entrancer of my pain,
releaser of my dignity,
luster of my integrity,
carnal to my senses,
fugitive of my heart,
breaker of my soul.
lingering in a tangible hand grasp,
yet just out of my reach.

This one is brilliant! I loved the sparseness of it, and all the senses, both physical and spiritual, are fulfilled with each stanza. The rhythm rolls gently, like a calm summer wave on a lake. Nice work

Love the last two lines... and love the words you used, wow, such a impact in this simple small write, yet not simple because it says so much. Really well written, i think it is good.
