My Sea of Darkness

just how I see life.

I'm stuck in a little bubble,

Floating in a sea of darkness.

It always wants to take me,

Turn me in, corrupt me.

If I give myself over,

Even for a second,

Pop goes my bubble,

And I'm drowning in an instant. 

My thoughts go dark, 

And my vision gets blurry.

My mind starts to race,

Hurry! Hurry! 

I need to get out, 

Before I get stuck forever.

If I let myself over,

Fall under the darkness,

I wont be coming back, 

Not even for a second.

If I give myself over,

Horrible things will happen.

I'll lose control,

And before I know it, 

I'll lose it all..

Many kinds of places, prisons and walls of safety we can fall into. I understand this poem. Sometime we can fall into places we do not want. We must fight to keep our thoughts and self-will. I can relate to this, but in my opinion ive always found it better to embrace the darkness. To target what is really causing all of this fear. this is a great piece and its seems to be very personal written from the soul. great work
