River of Lust

River of Lust

A Poem by Cocoacandy

Someone to love me,

Only one person,

My soul companion

Even though I’m not deserving.

Or maybe a secret lover,

No one has to know,

Except for him and I.

Tasting the cool waters of the river of lust,

On which my raft endlessly sails.

Longingly I wait,

On the brink of loss,

Visually distressed,

Ending miserably as expected.

The questions of love and desire. I like the way you make your point in the poem. Needing and waiting leaving you in great distress. A strong ending to a excellent poem.

as long as you don't leave the brink and tumble into the abyss... you'll be fine. you still have a lifetime to find a lust or love. this is wonderfully expressive.
