SPLAT! THUD! SCHLOP!

SPLAT! THUD! SCHLOP!

A Poem by Cocoacandy

On a journey through a wood,

musty, moldy scent fills your nose.

old tree bark falls,

new bark develops

shoes slide on needles,

sun blazes down and bakes the rocks,

birds chirp over head.

suddenly, your shoes slide,

and the ground rushes skyward.

SPLAT!

THUD!

SCHLOP!

giggles fill the air,

as no one can resist a laugh,

and the mud has now been displaced.

The sun bakes down,

and birds laugh overhead.

There is notin like a good fall in the mud to make you laugh like silly. As long as your down there next time just roll in it.Beautifull poem.I fell in the mud a couple of weeks ago.Legs in the air.schlop on my back.I was all alone runnin in the rain and there I was on the ground.I laughed so hard I cried. To Bad no one was there to laugh with me.

If animals could laugh. They would. Some people struggle in the forest. I like the tale and the ending. A excellent poem.

I like it! Nature's destruction shows nature's sense of humor, its like Wordsworth if he wrote Naturalism. Great job.

i remember this. twas brilliant, and the onomatopoeia that you use with the result of her slipping is VERY fitting. the world cracked up. i'm not sure that 'birds laugh overhead' works, because, well, you ended with laugh before. but i quite like this :D
