Like a moth to flame.

Yet far away,

In my mind,

I can imagine.

 

Caramel and cream,

Your skin on mine,

Lost in a moment,

Which is purely ours.

 

In my mind it’s so perfect,

Harmony only comparable,

To the ebony and ivory

Of the famous piano.

 

Wish you lived closer,

Wish our romance was real,

Wish I could always

Be nearer to you.

the metaphors, similies, gosh, i'm just at a loss for words... pretty sure if i told you everything i like about this, it'd be a bit longer than the poem :)

the last lines are so powerful, i completely understand the broken love... being so far away from someone and wanting them near.
