A Poem by Cocoacandy

Drip, Drip, Drip,
Drip by drip this cave im in,
echoes my tears as they fall
to the cold stone floor.
My fists clenched,
closed arround these chains,
shaking them violently
as i struggle to break free.
My lungs light, as i gasp for air,
the misty and toxic smoke swirls around.
My eyes burn,
red from crying.
My nails scrape the walls,
the shrill sounds piercing my ears.
I scream out, desperate to escape,
from this hell in my soul.

Outside the gate the demons dwell,
their fangs dripping with
salivation,
hungry for a kill.
Their bodies large,
they gaurd the entrance,
as if one day i may
break free and feed them.
They wait as loyal as dogs.

The cave silences my cries,
to the outside world
not a butterfly stirs,
no wind blows,
nothing reacts,
nothing knows.
