Headache

Headache

A Poem by Cocoacandy

This headache in my head,

It is reminiscent of the voices.

It reminds me of back then.

Back then,

when the voices were my only friends,

back when the voices would dance with me,

in circles in my room,

when they would climb with me,

and tell me not to be afraid of falling.

Back when the voices would

sit with me on teh swings,

teh squeaking of the chain as we admired our shoes.

Back when the voices would lay beside me,

on the grassy knoll, naming the clouds.

Back when they hlped me with my school work,

one puls one and two plus two, equalled a gold star.

Back when those voices and I made a fort on my bed

and we hid inside adn told stories 'til bed.

Back when those voices and I

curled up under blankets

while the wind treatened to blow the house away.

Back then teh voices

were helpful, but now they just hurt,

reminding me of then,

and bringing me back to today,

and this headache in my head.
