Hidden Treasures

Hidden Treasures

A Poem by Cocoacandy

Despite what many people may think,
I’m not the girl that you might recall.

I look, to many,
Like the girl with a conscience,
The one who cares for others,
And makes a great listening post.
The girl who knows her limits,
The boundaries of the rules,
And follows them faithfully,
Never testing the waters.
The girl who no one notices,
Never trying too hard at anything,
Working to stay beneath the radar.

I am known, by few, though,
As the girl dealing with illness,
Something called depression,
You may have heard of it.
The one who is only trying to make ends meet,
And takes chances on love,
Taking her time to reach out,
And discover hidden treasures
In unique personalities.

Sometime it is good to keep off the busy road. A lot of bad people. Those wise young ladies who think first usually find a better and safer place to rest. When I was young 35 years ago. Girls who look hard to get. Made the end good if a hidden treasure became your friend. A excellent poem.
