Hidden TreasuresA Poem by Cocoacandy
Despite what many people may think,
I’m not the girl that you might recall. I look, to many, Like the girl with a conscience, The one who cares for others, And makes a great listening post. The girl who knows her limits, The boundaries of the rules, And follows them faithfully, Never testing the waters. The girl who no one notices, Never trying too hard at anything, Working to stay beneath the radar. I am known, by few, though, As the girl dealing with illness, Something called depression, You may have heard of it. The one who is only trying to make ends meet, And takes chances on love, Taking her time to reach out, And discover hidden treasures In unique personalities. © 2011 CocoacandyFeatured Review
