A question we should all ask ourselves before it's too late.. before we fight we must know what we are fighting for... before we live we must know how we want to live. And when we look in the mirror at the end, can we look ourselves in the eye and wave goodbye? That's the test..
thought provoking, the kind of writing I love to read!
To what did we pay homage indeed? Who is our master? (a catch cry from M@ and his Political Thrill piece)
Biting the hand that feeds is not simply a canine trait, we do it constantly. It seems to me that some would prefer to persue evil rather than good because once you embrace good you are under obligation of responsible action and that is too much like hard work for some...
Great piece George...sorry it has taken me so long to get here...
Helen :-)
This is an incredible piece. It pushes you nose up against the mirror. I am reminded of a vision of a supposed warrior on an empty battlefield, having waded through the blood of the real warriors, and stepped over the bodies that led the charge..and now he beats his chest, as if he was victorious. I truly love this write, for it's brutal honesty. What battle did you choose to fight, and did you fight it, or just wait for the bloodshed to end. Just a great write. Rain..
now how am i supposed to sleep in a bit with all these questions tumbling over themselves in my brain ? we all need to pause and question our lives, our motives and choices from time to time. thanks for the well written wake up call.
,,,,by whose rule shall we each be measured ? ,,,, the greatest of all the questions.
Oh Pete, this is fabulous. These are questions that we all need to be aware of and ask ourselves. Definitely my favorite from you so far. Outstanding writing!
This is a powerful and awesome piece. I love the many different things that this could mean ... these are important questions to ask ourselves in life ... and to spend time pondering. Really thought provoking.
