Rant Against the Machine

Rant Against the Machine

A Poem by George Love
"

Sometimes, it's as if they plan to spite us!

"

Rant Against the Machine

Evil you sit in darkness
Awaiting the next one your way
All the while, you plot your deed
Which will your evil heart desire?
Turbulent trashing and wildly you toss
All inside you till at last all stops
Waiting that one dark moment in time
When you set loose that foul design!
Ever shall they trust you yet?
And never think you at fault
It cannot not think,
It cannot feel
Tell me then, why so many tears?
Flowing now towards all we hold dear,
Never once slowing nor heeding the cries!
Dashing now once all our day’s work
Treasures of past hold you no worth
And once now more the flow stops
Beaten back by all we find and more
Till once more subdued and into that place
Yet it cannot feel, nor can it think
But maybe it did, would that be the trick?

fighting against something mechanical is one of humanities biggest challenges. how do you fight something that does not respond but just keeps on destroying without remorse. I like the piece because it makes you think, it asks questions that you have to ponder.
thanks!

peace,
Danielle

I cannot remember the person who said it lol But it is as he says "Evil can only thrive when good men do nothing" How true agauinst the machine world! Brilliantly thought provoking love xx

It was alittle choppy and written like Yoda speech with some typos. Im not trying to offend you thats just the best way to describe it, cause it was hard for me to read. But I like where you were going with it.

The march of mechanisation and technology has been a hard, cruel one at times. You've illuded to that very expertly with your words.

Wonderful work!

Machines hate me, especially computers, in spite of the love and attention I give it. In a world a robots, I would be the one they chose to eliminate for the good of humanity. So much for the 3 laws of robotics. Great write.

Amazing. I can't get this out of my mind..
The Mills of the gods grind slowly
but, the grind exceedingly small

This is a great piece on how our own intelligence may doom us. I liked this. Rain..

This made me think of your water problem "And once now more the flow stops" Think it's more serious than that and is very thoughtful. I like the questions as they do what they are designed to do and make you stop what you are reading and think.

Well executed. =)

I like this piece. It makes one think, delving into the mind to comprehend. Of course, interpretation is there, and will be slightly different for all, but this is well written and speaks volumes of your talent.

Masterfully beautiful.
