Jess continues to report from the scene. Helen feels pretty proud of her trainee.

From the Scene

“Helen, police have told us there was some sort of radio interference which hindered the response of additional units to this scene. We now see additional units arriving and it looks like they are immediately loading the third patient into this ambulance. It has been reported that this patient was also pregnant. ”
“Jess, have all the patients been located? We understood earlier there was some concern that there may have been more than three patients in this vehicle” Helen urged her junior reporter to tie up the loose ends of the story with that question and statement.
“That is correct Helen. There was some concern earlier there might have been more than three patients. Rescuers are now assured they have accounted for all the occupants of this vehicle and all three are now being transported to hospitals for further treatment. Live from Highway 288, this is Jess Otero; now back to you in the studio Helen.”
Good girl, Helen thought to herself. She did very well. Helen added a few closing comments concerning the incident along with wishes for a speedy recovery for those injured. “We will continue to follow this story for you and we will bring you an update during our 10:00 First Eye News. Now, we return you to our regularly scheduled programming already in progress.” Helen signed off.
“And we’re clear! Great job again Helen” the news director praised his #1 anchor.
“Hey, that was a great job the intern did getting us on the air first with this story. All I did was keep people interested. Jess found the story.”
