Random?

Random?

A Poem by George Love

Random?

If all were this
Would we ever be?
Would ever a tree bear the same fruit?
Can we say that blue is always blue
Or red always red
Without thought of order out of chaos?
Were all to be chaos,
From whence came the order?
Is life truly random
As many might think
Or is some higher force
An order here brings?
Are we part of said force
Or the force part of us?
Who will know this
Without so much fuss?
Freestyle by choice
And choices on knowledge
So even in chaos
Might order restore.

I really like the opening several lines of this work-- the opening three in particular.

Towards the end, I got a little confused. Might be my fault.

It might be fun to experiment with something totally anarchic in the last lines, like radical use of space or really fragmentary lines to express the chaos before returning to your last two lines:
"So even in chaos
Might order restore."
