PerfectA Poem by George LoveThe Perfect Girl
Perfect
Brightly laughing eyes
Always shining
Even through rain.
They were my sun
Hair so black
Shining with light
And skin so soft
I knew you were
Unknowing as I sat
Not too far away
And watched your every move
As you walked about
Speaking so softly and tenderly
Every word a song.
Was it I only who heard?
Heart now smitten
In love now I fall
For you are so perfect
With you fall I will
Never did you know
And never you will
This love held inside
Years all they heal
Yet cut now so deeply
With needles so sharp
Love from inside
Wants only an escape
Never will be ever
This love for you known
To my grave this flame I carry
This flame own you now.
Watching afar,
Our lives how they change
Yet I see you still
Perfect.
