Minds Afree

Minds Afree

A Poem by George Love
"

Just a rambling Poem

"

Minds Afree

A man on a weary journey
Once stopped for a rest.
From the words of the keep
He should tarry no more
For his fortune lies ahead, maybe far, maybe near
Travel on, travel on.

Leaving the inn within himself kept
The words of knowledge from and old wise sage
And came upon this thought
To travel is to learn
And to learn is to live
Travel on, now, travel on.

Now traveling farther and weary becoming
The traveler pondered meanings from the keeper’s words
A man on the move has no time to worry
And yet his mind is still, not free
And sitting beside a small still stream
He pondered again those deep words
Once said to him, now he passed to another
And in doing so, his mind was set afree.
