Forgetting the Past
When will ever it be
That one will heed words of the wise
Listen to their beckoning call
Forsake not the words of old
And watch the signs forewarned the world?
Shall one bright Knight arise
To save the Damsel in our lifetime
Would listen to such words in wisdom
Or rather embrace new wisdom
Braced on such frailty as one whisp of thought?
Will if ever this should pass
Would we even know it were present
Seeking us out to carry the torch
And show the world bright wisdom old
Or rather sit and idle be
As that treasure fades fast away?
Would I were and could only think
Of past lots spent within our minds
Or forget we quickly evils so bold
To follow those whose deeds we saw
Or listen as they insist was all
A vision in passing, not them, but others?
Visions withstanding, we hear this call
Take up pen, cast words to paper!
Voice your voice so loud and clear
Let them know we heed this path
Deeds in past foretell our future
And listen we must or revisit anew.
All horrors in past,
Could all become new!
