All About Who?

All About Who?

A Poem by George Love
"

Who is the author talking about?

"

All About Who?

Into each one’s life when help was needed most
Called a number thinking all was lost,
Never knowing those to answer
Still the call made as disaster faced
Into the world of smoke, fire and death
Inward walked those summoned
One picked up the stricken counting never the cost
And provided all the care a soul could want.
Yet in that time of deep dark need
Never did one place a name with that face
As sheltered from harm all embraced
Fame and fortune never given
Till one bright day called nine eleven
When all stepped forth and raised their voices
Cheered the faces and gave now them names
From poorly lit streets and dingy rooms
To brightly shined hallways and plush carpeted manors
When help is needed now answer this call
For one emergency seems the same for all.
