Let Go

Let Go

A Poem by camps

I tried to hold onto everything.
I guess it was out of fear.
I tried to hold on for the sake of others.
Even as the end was near.
But then I realized as I sat,
That it was a waste of time.
Cause no matter what I tried to do,
The control was never mine.
I wish I had said what was on my mind,
Instead of holding it in.
Now that moment has gone and passed,
And the longest goodbye begins.
The fear and pain that gripped my heart,
Is finally starting to fade.
Now I drift off into nothingness,
The debt to the piper has been paid.
