Slipping Away

Slipping Away

A Poem by camps
"

I wrote this when I was having trouble sleeping.

"
I can feel it now,
the coldness creeping up my body.
As the nothingness invades my mind,
It's the depths of oblivion.

Uneasiness I've never felt before,
Like watching yourself slowly sink,
into a lonely darkness.
If only I could stop it.

Instead I just watch,
As the tingling reaches through my spine,
and my heart starts to fade.
I can feel all the good that's left,
starting to slip away.

I'm so tired of being tired,
as sure as night will follow day.
Most things I worry about,
never happen anyway.
