Insomnia

Insomnia

A Poem by camps

In and out, the brain slips away,
My body's asleep but my mind's awake.
The shadows pass through an empty screen,
You'll be standing here while the rest of us dream.

Even if I see tomorrow,
It will be the same as the day before it, just deep and hollow.

You try to move, but you can't get up
Cause you were never awake, just hiding from.
The silhouettes that pass you by,
Now there right next to you, inside of your mind.

Then lights surround and the darkness breaks,
While the memory restarts and the voices fade.
It's easy to forget, but harder to explain
While you're standing here, cause nothings changed.

It didn't "feel" like insomnia as I read...more like a hypnosis and being overcome by the distractions of doldrums and the inherent daydreams the mind wanders off and into..

Probably just me...
