ControlA Poem by campsAbout anxiety
It starts as an unexpected tingle
that gradually moves through your chest Your heart begins rapidly beating While your emotions take over the rest. Even if you are supposed to be okay Everything feels wrong As if you lost your grip on reality and everything right is gone. The tingling reaches up your neck and the coldness douses your palms Nothing makes you safe again Nothing makes you calm. Until that moment you accept it Sanity's the only thing you keep while the rest flows back to normal To join you in your sleep.
