Mindless Brains

Mindless Brains

A Poem by Charly

Expression just to make an impression

Isn’t expression at all.

It’s autotune, fake eyelashes,

Pants so tight your skin hangs over,

A tattoo of your Zodiac sign on the back of your shoulder

Where you can’t even see it "

Probably don’t even think about it.

If they’re not impressed by what you express,

If they scoff at the way you’re dressed

Or the way you address this finite world with your infinite mind,

Well then f**k them.

Forget about their feeble brains

That are too tightly wedged shut to be minds,

To think with depth, to see with understanding,

To accept real expression over fake impression.

Let the steroided, botoxed, fortified, caked on beings

Look down upon you for only then will the roles be reversed

As your freedom propels you up and up and up

So that you may look down upon them,

The mindless beings of the finite world,

And feel sorry that they’re missing out on the infinite truth.

Very well put Charly.
It's extremely disheartening sometimes to live among so many plastic people.
Love the emotional conviction; it shines through in every line!
