Hallucinations

Hallucinations

A Poem by Cassidy McIntosh

Hallucinations

Being apart from you

Makes me feel like

Someone is squeezing

Me.

My chest hurts.

My heart beats faster.

My mind and body are in it together.

You’ll never come back.

You don’t really

Exist.

Come back.

Make the pain go away.

Kiss me,

So I can breathe.

Exist for me.

Help me.

Fight the hand that is

Slowly

Forcing the life

Out of me.

When you are gone

I don’t want to exist.

Take me with you.

I never want to

Feel like

Again.
