The FeelingA Poem by sincerelyThe
feeling You know the feeling The feeling of your stomach turning inside out The feeling that you can’t get a full breath Where it feels like you could either throw up
or burst into tears But you have no clue which one it will be The feeling, when you look at him in the eyes
and realize…he doesn’t love you anymore
No he didn’t say those words he probably doesn’t even realize it yet but he didn’t have to say anything For you to hear it loud in clear
He screams it in the way that his eyes don’t light up anymore
when he sees you the way that meaningful conversations have
turned to no conversation at all the way that I love you sounds like a broken
record rather than a representation of emotion the way that his smile is no longer sparked by
you
He shouts it When his eyes are rolling at you instead of
adoring you When his lips are shouting at you instead of
kissing you When his hands are slamming doors instead of
holding yours.
He doesn’t find you unique, smart, and funny
anymore You’re “clingy”, “annoying”, and “a child” He doesn’t tell you you’re beautiful “because you should know already”
He knows how to love your body and make it his But he does not know how to cherish your soul. He can be inside of you But he ironically can’t look past anything skin
deep.
You see that he doesn’t love you You see that you’ll never make him happy enough And you have to sit there and wait for him to
realize it Because leaving him would be leaving a part of
yourself
So you wait… Wait until He sees how broken you are Wait until He realizes he doesn’t love you Wait until you hear it leave someone else’s
lips “You’re not good enough”
