Cardinal

Cardinal

A Poem by Leo M. Zeac
"

Just read it silly, and then you'll know!

"

Seven dead souls,

with each one lost

Seven dead souls,

with their lives as cost

One soul is gazing,

at a beautiful sight

One soul is gazing,

at herself in the light

One soul is stealing,

a gold ring and necklace

One soul is stealing,

for possessions regardless

One soul is lusting,

to quench her desires

One soul is lusting,

for passionate fires

One soul is depressed,

as others walk by

One soul is depressed,

and is about to cry

One soul is hungry,

for a bountiful feast

One soul is hungry,

and eats like a beast

One soul is angry,

and will kill the weak

One soul is angry,

with wrath at its peak

One soul is asleep,

before bedtime prayers

One soul is asleep,

without any cares

Seven dead souls,

with each soul lost

Seven dead souls,

with their lives as cost

I'm actually a young writer, trying to type my way to the top! My favorite genres to mess around in are fantasy and adventure, but I toggle with romance and drama as well. I'm really looking for as mu.. more..
