Warroir

A Poem by cmaynard

Warrior

To know ones self,
Removes fear, doubt and disbelief,
Forged as one; body and mind,
Removes the barrier,

Pain flows from the mind,
And as the cool seeps in,
You over come and you win,
Replacing what’s inside,

Strength, power and speed,
Optimizes movement and efficiency,
Slick and smooth,
Strikes like the serpent,

The muscle moves as if by magic,
And the body reacts,
Draws from experience,
From the thoughts & a thousand forms,

Perfect proportions of physical form,
Anatomy is alive and all aligned,
Muscle ripples and burns,
Obstacles are overcome,

Thoughts no longer distract,
Only aids; the mind is still,
No longer thinks to question,
Know; surrounded by calmness,

A swords slice can cut cleanly,
If the heart is committed,
Take this from the enemy,
Take away the willingness to fight,

Passed down are the movements of many.
Now as the opponent moves; so do you,
The enemy, no longer one step ahead,
Body and mind now complete;

Victory.
