Let Me Know

Let Me Know

A Poem by Courtney L. Waugh
"

This was written about a relationship I had in middle school. I was "dating" a popular guy but he wouldn't tell anyone that we were dating.

"

Verse 1:

Why do you act as if I don't exist,

Why do I have to be your trip,

Stop putting me through all this pain and heartache,

Stop treating me as if I was never born.

Chorus:

     Let me know you care,

Let me know you'll be there.

Tell me once in awhile that you love me,

     But most of all,

Just let me feel like you want me.

Verse 2:

My friends ask if you have a girlfriend

And all you can say is, "No"

Do you even care how that makes me feel?

     No, it's only about reputation.

Repeat Chorus
