staged life

staged life

A Poem by Denim wite

Smiling masks

actors galore

try to act right

so they always want more

ready the stage

set the lights a glow

joy, envy, rage

and lets start the show

walk out, lines memorized

make it believable

any mistakes and

results inconceivable

practiced laughter

pasted smile

hiding their past

that tainted them vile

written to life

by their own lies

but

the truth is replaying over

in their eyes

"make me real"

they plead

their silent cry

"make me real"

they beg

to be truly

alive

Wow. This was good. Perfect description of so many people and their fake masks and lies on the stage of life...:)............
