PoisonA Poem by Denim witemetaphor for self. not me. self- the poison that is in everyone, the dormant beast in so many souls. Only Christ can remove our murderer that lives and runs in our veins.I laugh in my pride and enrage in jealousy weep for myself and ignore all troubles
I drink poison and say "Drink with me so we may laugh and be merry!"
and only until the very last hour I realize what I have done.
so I drink to forget and murder myself with laughter, lust and sin. © 2013 Denim wite |
