Silence!

Silence!

A Poem by Denim wite

Silence the din!

for our spirits sleep

and our voices do nothing

to perturb their slumber

they are deaf to our shouts!

our bodies move on

despite the depressing ordeal.

do you not despair

to have this knowledge?

or do you look upon these words

with dulled thought?

stop it all!

the chaos!

the mundane life!

the stagnant words and actions!

maybe if we silence ourselves

we could listen

to the things we did not

allow ourselves to.

The voice of G-D

so quiet

so small.

a soft

powerful glory to behold.

be still my children

be still my brethren

be still, creatures that creep

and be still my beloved.

listen, maybe silence

is what can wake us.
