A Poem by Denim wite

from the peculiar books of the reality library

whose pages of blood

continue to seep through their covers

and words of gold and silver

engraved and un-erasable

on their liquid sheets

never slip off

their eerie translucent planes

come spinning tales

of woe and grief

and triumph and laughter

sins and miracles

love and lust

do not be afraid

some you may not have to open

for they speak

and walk

and breath

yes, my fellow spectators, they contemplate as well

they have a cognition

some of these books are richer than the next

and some more moving than the rest

but,

my good fellows

many have locks!

and few have their key

what a severe loss

only a small group can see

the tales and the epics

so passionately encrypted

on these secretive and shy bunch

but surely those who are not apprehensive

must muse upon the titles

of such strange and stirring creatures

look upon each book my audience

and see

that on the top of each

is a detailed and delicately written

two words

Man.

and under the first word

is their name.
