MirrorsA Poem by cynicalbelieverNot a clue where this one came from quite honestly.
When the mask takes over,
When the mirrors cracks, When all fails, What do you call yourself? Every inch the mask covers, Every other crack in the mirror, It reveals another side of you, Another reflection. Before long the cracks become infinite, The mirror becomes so distorted, The mask doesn't stop at your face, You're not even you anymore. Not even a trace of your former self, But then someone will come, They'll tear off that mask, Repair your mirror. But still... There's cracks there, Tiny ones sure but they're still there, The face staring back isn't yours, It never was. It's only ever been, A reflection.
