ChangesA Poem by cynicalbelieverNot so much a poem as an observation, something I've noticed.
When people first meet you,
They only see a part, Then as you get closer they see more, They either love you or hate you. That then becomes their definition of you, Whether it's true or not, The person they saw, To them that is you. And so you go along with it, Not minding because for the most part that is you, But then by circumstance, Things change. To them, You change, Not true, You're the same as before. You're not even showing another side, What they got told about you, They believe, Even if it's been falsified. A one sided story, That creates another side to someone, Or so you think, If anything you're two faced for believing it all. When we first met you knew I fought, But then I gave it up, For love, Now I've changed? No. I'm still figthing, But not out of anger, I'm fighting for something I believe in. If that's changed me, Then I'm a better person for it, But to me and many others, I've not changed a bit. You have.
