LetterA Chapter by cliphanger
Dearest Marge, It’s really hard bringing up six children. You’re lucky you only got Stella. Not that I regret having six children, it’s just hard providing for them all at once! I want to provide everything for them but you see the family is at a financial difficulty now that I just get laid off from work. My eldest daughter, Myra, just keeps on demanding for things she deemed important, not at all understanding how hard it is for us. She’s already sixteen but our niece, Mia, seems to think more mature than her. Well, that’s understandable though since Mia is forced to grow up. She’s doing really well for a kid who had lost her father at an early age and gets passed around her relatives as though she were a hand me down antique. I wish I could provide for her needs but you see, my own children’s needs should come first. This might be a bit fast but Marge could you please take Mia under your custody? I can no longer take care of her and her diabetes adds to my worry. Please say yes Margaret. It’s both for Mia’s sake as well as for my sanity. P.S Sorry, I can’t call you. Haven’t paid my telephone bill yet and they decided to cut it off. So make a reply to this e-mail soon because I fear our internet connection would also soon be disconnected. If within three days of not making a reply, I’m sending Mia over to your house with or without your approval. Your sister, Mildred © 2009 cliphangerAuthor's Note
