Looking High And Low, We Only Know The Living

Looking high and low, I cannot find the dead.

They are in their place that I know not, nor can help.

Some wait for judgement, and some are in the blessing place.

Safe inside the body of Christ are those that are saved.

Walking into the church, I imagine all around are spirits inside.

They are the ones who wait for the coming return of Christ.

Their judgment will be in the blessing place of love.

Others will receive final judgment of God's vengeance.

Fear not to be in place or building or temporal location.

The body of Christ is the congregation, a multitude of Christians.

We are living and breathing inside his loving Spirit.

He is in us and we are in him, and he and the Father are one.

As the clear bright sun shines inside all open windows,

so shines his light inside us, bringing peace to our souls.

Baptised in repentance, we are buried in the same watery grave.

Also, we are alike rising up out of the waters, alive and saved.

This symbol is a likeness of the now cast aside, dry dead bones.

Our flesh shall moulder long in the grave, but not our souls.

Alive we are in new bodies, not subject to any more death.

Where are the dead?  We only know the living in heaven.
