Forgive - Forget

Forgive - Forget

A Poem by Independent

I loved once.
Truly.
Deeply.
I never dreamed of anything else.
Never expected an end.
I still love him.
After everything.
I forgive him.
After all,
That is what you do, right?
Forgive and forget if you love someone?
I'm doing my best,
I'm trying.
My dear killed me slowly,
And as I rest six feet under.
I let it go.
As this chapter of my life closes,
I choose to forget it all.
The memory of your face
Will be gone.

well expressed within poetic form the sealing of ending in the book of life while gripping pen in hand to ink the next chapter~
it happens this way too often in this world nowdays that relationships are all too fleeting ~
